Was The Late Brian Jones An Aspie?
posted at 11:32 pm on 04-18-2007

Brian was an ecclectic individual. London was swinging in the 1960s especially due to his choice of fashion and recreational sex. He was crazy about the blues and world music, before there was world music. Synthesizers were the next musical breakthrough to him in 1967. Around the time of Beggar's Banquet, he lost interest in the music they were recording and would sit in the studio reading a book on botany. He once played a recording of one of his songs to a chimpanzee at a zoo and cried at its reaction. In his final years, he planned on forming a new band but was very nervous. Asthma, drug abuse, and a violent temper fueled his early demise. We will never forget him. Paint it black for Brian July 3.
