Wrong Planet on Speed!

You guys may have noticed that WrongPlanet has been loading much more quickly since this morning. This is actually due to our new content delivery network. Static images are now served by cachefly so the WP server isn't as overwhelmed with requests as it has been recently. In addition, users from countries other than the US and people on the west coast should notice an even greater boost in responsiveness.

New Borderless Youtube

You guys may have noticed the annoying white border in youtube videos on WrongPlanet. Well, I've used the code from the following blog to fix this problem. I also added a custom color while I was at it:

WrongPlanet Menu thoughts

nl2br(Well, I refined the WrongPlanet menu yet again. I thought to myself, "how many times do I click on each of these items?" and realized that some options were just taking up space. Sure, the puzzle stuff is cool, but who would use it on a daily basis?
I think the result of my efforts is a much more streamlined and user friendly experience for wrong planet members. I'm still going to be working on the menu to further refine it as time goes by.
I also plan on implementing some more "social network" type features and I know you guys will really like those. (have the ability to add people as friends, etc).)

Shaving - Manual

I've started using a manual razor and I have to say that I like it so much better than electric. I enjoy the 5 blade close shave action. In fact, it irritates my skin less than an electric razor. If you've never used a manual razor, check it out.

my thoughts on the view's autism segment

I thought The View's segment on Autism was pretty darn good! Unfortunately most of it was about the lower functioning autism but I'm hoping we aspies will get some more positive press coverage later down the line. Temple Grandin did a great job. That was my favorite part. If you haven't seen the video of the segment, just go to youtube and search for 'autism the view'
