Helloo!
I'm Danny, or Dan (Take your fancy!), and am currently 16 years old and from the UK. I'm usually quite self concious about being too open about myself but I'll say I'm Bisexual (only a bit!) and reallly shy, but I think I can be fun too 
I have Aspergers syndrome, and was diagnosed with it sometime towards the end of last year and have been trying to battle the anxiety and depression of not fitting into society.
My main problems include things like...socializing and dealing with change. I do however have a girlfriend called Becky who also has AS, which really helps because we can share ways of dealing with difficult everyday situations. Besides her I don't know anyone with AS and would really like to get to know some people with it.
Bit more about my past, I left school at the end of year 9 for anxiety reasons and never returned. I did however start college in September this year and feel I've adjusted quite well to the new routine It brought along. I'm studying ICT atm and quite like it. When I was (from year 9 untill I started college) I was isolated 24/7, never going out to see ANYONE and barely making eye contact with my family. Things are definatly on the up thankfully.
My main interets are Football, Music (Rock/Screamo/Emo all the way!) and being on my computer. If you want to know any more please ask as I'd LOVE to get to know some more people and perhaps form friendships (Even though I'm awful at it lol).

Hey Dan, Welcome to Wrongplanet !!
However the 3rd and the 4th part of the line sounds similiar to my story, im however learning IT in my own time but in college im studying arts and media i also left school because of anxiety issues but also because the school wasn't giving me enough for what I want to head on in my life as the work seems far too easy for me.
I barely go out to see anyone apart from my girlfriend (of course) and I barely make eye contact to my family too (for some odd reason it hurts to do it although i do try).
My interest is also going on the computer and the latest gadgets that are out there and im also from the UK. Are you fimilar with the gadget show on five? Maybe that might be the thing for you aswell.

| Hello Dan My name is Oisin. But I am not a male, so I must be a woman. I also suffer from Anxiety and depression for who knows how long. I never fitted in anywhere and thought the others as being odd. Those are the people who are say they are normal. I rather write then speak, but when I do I uses long pauses in between and often I return to a toppic when the other people at work are already on the next. |
