Most Aspies have an interest that they know everything about, forwards, backawards, and everything in between. What's yours?

Mine used to be Beanie Babies, where I have over 300. I knew all the values, drove around looking for them in the stores and even got some articles published in Mary Beth's Beanie World magazine! I haven't bought any in the last year at least, except for I Heart Chicago bear and I Heart Illinois bear, and OK I admit it-SpongeBob.

so the past few years, my new thing is American Girl. First the books then the dolls. I love the books, but I think having the tangible doll that I'm reading about in the books makes me love it so much more. I've been to the store in downtown Chicago at least a dozen times. I have nearly every historic doll, but I don't buy the furniture or extra stuff because everything is quite expensive. The accessories and stuff are quite detailed and lifelike, which may be another reason why I like the stuff, even if I can't afford most of it. I know every story, every character and I feel like I can escape when I read about their worlds, but I can also relate to many of the characters, too.

Cats are lifelong obsession.

Current ones that are subject to change/rotation:

Asperger's Syndrome
Ayanami Rei from the anime series "Neon Genesis Evangelion"

Currently just computers and learning every nuance of the Java programming language.

But like Civet, I have some that rotate, like history, German, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Hitchhiker's Guide, Asperger's syndrome, politics, postal zip codes, telephone area codes. Umm....I think that's about it right now.

Bibliomania, license plates, trivia, and hoarding things that eventually turn out to be worthless but seemed valuable at the time.
