It was really fun. Working with maps and compass have always been fun for me, now it is a good moment to freshen up my skills and use them for geocaching. <br /> <br />I already looked at a proper GPS receiver and am going to buy one this week. When I was a child, I used to dream of finding buried treasure and such (I suppose it stems from my love of pirate-y things <img src="modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif" alt="Laughing" border="0" /> ) and gocaching is the next best thing <img src="modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif" alt="Smile" border="0" /> <br /> <br />It combines my love of hiking and finding hidden treasures and I get to leave a little something behind for other people to find....how fun! <br /> <br />At first, when I started going "hunting" for hidden treasure, I've got to admit my OCD kicked in and I had a tough time believing that there were caches in those containers and not just icky discarded trash from some lazy person.
