$50,000 is a lot of money, even though it seems like peanuts knowing the number of big-money game shows that are on now!
Even less taking account inflation.

It was indeed a new episode.
Yes, Meredith Vieira is the host now.
It turns out that the lady who advocated for the day care won $50,000! That's enough money to get one for sure!

Yeah, it's that Meredith chick now.
Idunno if it's repeats, but it's on just about every day.

I didn't know Who Wants to Be a Millionaire was still on these days. I was an avid fan of the show back when Regis Philman hosted it, but after he retired it got kicked off of primetime, and I didn't feel like chasing after it, so I stopped watching.

Post subject: Autism awareness on Millionaire...
I slept through my TV waking me up this morning, and when I woke up, Who Wants to be a Millionaire was on, and this woman was at $25,000. She said that her child has a developmental disorder, and she was going to put the money towards a daycare that would specialize in speech and other forms of therapy for children on the spectrum, and went on to clarify a few things about autism. Being half-asleep, I didn't catch whether she was contributing towards an already functioning daycare, or starting this herself, or what, but she made it to $50,000 and walked with it.
I thought that was really awesome of her, and a very cool idea.
