I notice that when I'm in the midst of periods of extreme stress & anxiety, I have to use the latrine....and I have to use it a lot; often times using the facilities several times even in a 30 minute period.
Is this common for folks with Autism?
This is common for people when they are nervous. The chemicals your body releases when you're stressed cause you evacuate your bladder. It's not just people with autism!
I remember my cousin (totally NOT on the spectrum) peed 20 times in the hour before her piano recital when we were kids. I found it comical.

I have a serious condition called Interstitial Cystitis. Wanting to go bathroom every 5 min? Sounds like IC or overactive bladder.

I never had a problem until I had to go on a diuretic for hypertension. Now I'm drinking 4-6 liters of water a day because I get dehydrated. Seems rather circular.

I have chronic poly nephritis, so I'm not sure whether or not it counts. My problem is that I always feel like I need to go... but hardly can when I try.

I usually go a lot. I'm pretty sure it has more to do with the fact that I always have a drink in my hand than anything else. I think it was worse when I was drinking Mountain Dew all the time (now I mostly drink Arizona green tea). I can hold it a long time though, even though it's extremely uncomfortable. And sometimes if I have to wake up early, I'll drink something before bed to make sure I'll wake up (since it's hard to stay asleep if you really have to go. I'm pretty sure I'm physically incapable of having an accident, so it all works out).

Only when i was a kid. I had to go to the bathroom every time i got a chance. Although, i think it was partially because of anxiety and being afraid that i might not get a chance to be able to get to the bathroom later.

I go #2 quite a bit for some reason......I'd say on any given day I typically hit the dunny 5 times. Urinating though? I can hold that stuff til rapture. Unless of course I have a considerable amount of whiskey in me.
So when people say I'm full of crap? Well, its true.

Ever since my fiance and I became sexually active, I've had to treat three separate UTI's.
Now I constantly take cranberry pills to keep them away.
One thing I have noticed, though, is that even though I don't have a UTI anymore, I still always have to pee very frequently. And when I have to pee, I have to pee RIGHT NOW THIS MINUTE! Even if I did not have to pee at all 5 seconds ago.
If I don't find a bathroom within 10 seconds of the signal, I will slowly leak, no matter how "tight" I hold my muscles that control the flow. I now wear those thick "overnight" menstrual pads everyday, just in case.
Edit: Doesn't matter how much liquid there is in my bladder. It could be alot or a little.
I researched it, and "
Urge Incontinence
" seems to match up exactly with what I am experiencing.

The need to go to the bathroom seems to come over me very quickly. One minute I don't need to go at all, and the next I must go NOW.

Sometimes i have to pee every 5 minutes. I don't know whether it has something to do with Asperger's. I might have diabetes insipidus.

realy? sometimes i have problems on trampolines too. but only if i have to go considerably, and its one of those ones that make you go like, 5 feet into the air. i think it must disorient my muscles or something.
