definitely! if you have a passion, obsession, whatever, that involves physical activity and competition it can drive you to be much more physically active than you would be. rowing is the reason i've lost over 30lbs of fat and gained a bunch of muscle. it's also the reason my resting heart rate is in the low 50's when it used to be close to the 70's |

I don't really feel all that motivated to exercise deathchibi.

| you know, it's days like today that make it hard to motivate yourself to do it again sometimes. i biked to school (20mi each way) and there was a massive headwind both ways (not as much on the way back but it was there for more of the ride) and my bike kept messing up. i guess i need to give it a tune up and make sure i bring a rag and some lube if it's as wet and muddy as it was today, my brakes kept sticking, wheel keps coming loose, derailer's messed up, ugh. |

I want to stay fit incase of an emergency such as a tsunami, earthquake, tornado etc. I might need to run somewhere fast in that situation. |

| getting free stuff from my school for being a varsity athlete, wanting to beat those damned GG's (our crosstown rivals), wanting to be better at my sport, wanting to feel better, look better, and fight depression. also, it gives me something to do on those boring days that i don't have class. |
