This is a really nice story! And I don't know why some people are so negative about it and/or about their age. First of all this can happen at any age, and having found a partner, and especially one that you get along so well with, at any age, is something positive and amazing, even for any "ne...

I found and I still find my diagnosis difficult to accept. I sought it out because I wanted an explanation of why I felt so different but I did not feel better after being diagnosed. I had constructed an identity independent of AS and it has been difficult to alter that identity to be compatible wi...

I don't see the "flat effect" at all. She smiles when its time to smile, and she is serious when its time to be serious (like when she explains to the other girl how to shoot with a bow, etc). So mainly, I can't tell one way nor the other, but if she is autistic I don't see it in this video.

I took a quiz online with about 50 questions (I think it's called the Aspie quiz) and it said that he is on the spectrum.

I'm sorry but you can't do the test for someone else. He would have to answer the questions himself for an, at least somewhat, accurate result.

Criticize each other and put each other down. This. I don't know about 10 things but I know at least one. "Tell someone with AS that there an NT" And this, whether the person has been diagnosed or not (this is each person's business, whether they want an official diagnosis or not). They k...

As others mentioned maybe the windmill triggered a memory, without you actually remembering what it was, but if it is the case it was probably something unpleasant. But I also think it is a bit strange that both you and the priest felt discomfort around the same time (he possibly started feeling agi...

I agree that intent is important, but it's also tricky, and it's been my experience that AS people are no better at mind reading than NTs, often worse even. True. And most the time you probably can't tell right away (unless you intended to get a reaction and/or pick a fight, because then you would ...

As my lovely wife often remarks: "it's not what you say it's how you say it". I see that you got a few replies about the part "its not what you say its how you say it", and people who are saying they don't want to walk on eggshells (and I understand that because I've been there ...
