Used XP until 1 month to W7 release, "had" to test Vista out of curiosity for one month (those who bought Vista close to W7 release got free upgrade disc, Vista to W7).
My laptop (which I use very rarely) is still running XP.

i use XP on one computer presently, was using it on another but it crashed hard with major damage due to running software on it incompatible with its version [XP#3 software mistakenly installed on an XP#1 puter]. it was probably the best [most stable] OS that i've gotten from microsoft, as W7 crashes on me at least once per session, due to the fact that it was not meant to be used on weak computers [celeron with <2GB slow memory and slow hard drive]. i still use w98se, for my audio restoration machine.

I primarily use W7. I have an XP partition just for one program that isn't compatible.

The computers I occasionally use at school run XP.

Me. I'm not a techie at all. It was Windows ME on my last computer. All I need is a machine that can browse the web. Humorously enough, a typical netbook of today is vastly more powerful than the desktop I use now.

All my PCs have XP on them (mostly due to age).

My newest build has XP/Win7 in a dual boot configuration. The XP is 32-bit (even though the system is 64-bit). Windows 7 is 64-bit. I save the XP side for stuff that needs a pure 32-bit OS to run properly.

I am in Win7 most of the time now here on my multi-boot machine that also has Win2K along with XP, but all my backup computers (except for the oldest ones with Win95 or 98se) still have XP on them, and I have no intention of ever changing that.

I still use XP on the rare occasions I must use Windows (Netflix and so forth).
Works fine, I think a lot of people will be sad when Microsoft eventually drops support.

I use XP on my Asus Eee PC net-book and on my Acer Aspire One net-book. The Asus I am planning on making a dual boot and the Acer will be
converted over to net-book remix Linux.

But that car was made in a time when fewer people drove the roads and had less safety features to keep drivers and families safe ...

I get a kick out of that kind of rhetoric ... as if some new, high-dollar plastic car is now actually somehow safer and less expensive to license, operate and insure than an old Buick!

I haven't used XP for years, but it was by far the best Windows distro (pardon me, version--I've been contaminated by Linux) I've experienced. Windows 7 was alright, but XP was just a more streamlined, and simpler, system.
