I'm wondering if I'm the only person who watched this show and wants a second season. Anybody else catch the first season? Heard anything about a renewal? I thought it was bloody fantastic but a few friends complained they thought the pacing was slow.

I saw it. What's next, then? Cromwell caused Anne Boleyn's downfall. He met his after the Anne of Cleves fiasco. Perhaps that would be next if there is a season 2?

Definitely. So much happened in the last few years of Cromwell's life. I'd love to see them cover Bigod's Rebellion and, of course, Anne of Cleves. Still a bit more to come with Jane Seymour as well. All ending, as you mentioned, with Cromwell meeting his maker.

Anne Boleyn's execution (as portrayed in the 1st season) really struck me. The executioner seemed to have it down to a science. Very chilling.

At first you hate Anne, but even she didn't deserve to die like that.

I felt the same way. I despised her at the beginning but what an awful way to go.

But she gets the last laugh since her daughter, Elizabeth I, rose above them all!

Its just too bad that father Henry VIII never knew.

True! What an incredible time. I can't imagine living under that kind of rule. Keeping my fingers crossed for a 2nd season.

Neither can I, but it is interesting to study!

I am a history buff. I like to study the English Monarchy.

That's cool. I am planning on doing a bit of reading on that this winter. When I started watching Wolf Hall I got off on a "mini-obsession" of the English Monarchy. I was trying to memorize the entire line of royal families.

Have you ever watched Black Adder by any chance?

I've never heard of Black Adder.

I know the name of every monarch of England from Elizabeth II to William the Conquerer.
