Hello, I stumbled across this website while doing some research. My six-year-old is undergoing some tests right now, and the psychologist believes he has Asperger's. This came as quite a shock to us since he has always been so outgoing, but after doing a lot of reading, it explains for a lot.

At any rate, I look forward to reading and posting here and getting some guidance if my son does have AS.

Best!

Welcome. One of the books many people here think is the best and most comprehensive is "The Complete Guide to Aspergers" by Tony Attwood. It may be worth getting hold of, both for your son and also to help you understand a lot more about this (Wrong) Planet and the ways of its inhabitants.

A small minority of people on the spectrum have more extroverted personalities than is usually encountered on the spectrum.

Thanks, I will definitely check that out.

Even though he is very talkative, he struggles with back and forth in conversations and picking up on social rules.
