My avatar isn't showing up

Why do you think my avatar isn't showing up? The image is only 75 by 71 pixels. I can see everyone else's avatars, but not mine.

I'm having the same problem. I uploaded a new one (100x100 gif), but it's still showing my old one.

Yeah, it doesn't appear possible to change your avatar, location or status at the moment because although I've changed my image and other stuff a while back, my existing avatar and info are shown, despite the fact that my profile page indicates the new image that I uploaded!

I tried to change my location, it changed on my page but not on the posts. I also want to change my signature, but can not find how.

This new layout is giving me nothing but trouble.

^^^ Time Alex fixed this. (please Alex if you're reading this, try to change your own avatar just for an experiment and see if it works: if it doesn't it will show you what so many members are talking about...)

Same goes for changing location and other details on the profile. Shows as changed on the profile page but not the posts.

Could you try uploading a new avatar? I'm trying to figure out if this is fixed. It might be.

No effect. Too many people are reporting similar problems - and tons of other issues - so it must be the forum itself, not the way we use it. Have you considered returning back to the older layout?

Well, it works now provided you make some other change too, not just the avatar.

Seems to work. For some obscure reason, you must do some additional update, too.

Yeah I just fixed it so youll have to re upload your avatar to get them to sync. Everyone, please Let me know if this works for you

Mine suddenly disappeared when I updated my profile

Do the old defaults still exist or have those been removed? There used to be loads of ones to pick from before the site was updated - are they still here or they removed with the update? Mine was the confused face.

My new avatar is already on my profile page. It just wont show up anywhere else.

As a test I will upload a different avatar altogether to see if that takes. If it does then I will re-upload the one I want.
