My son Likes to coordinate - is this an Aspie trait?

My 3 year old son, is being assessed for Aspergers, he showns many traits but im still a bit unsure whether it is Aspergers or not. The last month or so, he has to carry a toy with him to match what he is wearing, if its a character top eg. Thomas he has to carry his thomas train... its the same with his Pyjamas, he has to take the matching toy to bed.... if its not a character top he uses the colour, and finds a toy the same colour.. and if he cant find one, then there is hell to pay!!

Has anyone else had the same or similar experience?

My clothes have to match.

My 12 speed that I load in back matches the color of the truck I haul it with...and I've been guilty of buying coats, shoes, and accessories to match the truck.

Yep, some of us can get carried away with the "matching game" some days. :lol:

haha... thank you for your replies. To be honest I love the fact that my DS does these things, it just makes him even more adorable (unless he cant find something to match) then he is a little terror :wink:

I couldn't really say whether it's likely to be related to autism or not... but that is rather cute! :P
