God created man in his image, and Adam was created first, therefore God is and must be male, the first woman was designed later as a resort to serve man's need for companionship and for procreation.

Ahaa! Then God must have sex too. Who is He screwing? (Aside from Mary, that is).

No, and why would anyone? Gender would be meaningless to an omnipotent being anyway. That and how even many males on Earth look different from each other makes me strongly doubt anyone who takes the "God created man in his image" passage that literally anyway.
The Parthenon...is a temple in the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, dedicated to of the Greek goddess Athena, whom the people of Athens considered their protector. Its construction...was completed in 438 BC... - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parthenon - Greece still exists today as a nation. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Athena
God is neither a man or a woman. He is just represented as a male because when Christianty and Jewdism were founded, everyone had this mindset that males were dominant.
