Iran will get destroyed for having weapons-grade uranium.

Kodak Had a Secret Nuclear Reactor Loaded With Weapons-Grade Uranium Hidden In a Basement

Quote:
Kodak may be going under, but apparently they could have started their own nuclear war if they wanted, just six years ago. Down in a basement in Rochester, NY, they had a nuclear reactor loaded with 3.5 pounds of enriched uranium—the same kind they use in atomic warheads.

Were they planning to nuke Fuji?
Or what?

Whatever they planned, looks like they experienced a melt down.

EDIT: 8)

My college has a similar size nuclear reactor, yes it uses weapons grade uranium, but mostly for the physics students to play with rather than to start a war. This paranoia about this reminds me of NIMBY. Yeah for news sensationalism.

Did you read this:

Kodak's purpose for the reactor wasn't sinister: they used it to check materials for impurities as well as neutron radiography testing. The reactor, a Californium Neutron Flux multiplier (CFX) was acquired in 1974 and loaded with three and a half pounds of enriched uranium plates placed around a californium-252 core.

What is the big deal? Kodak was not up to anything harmful and they had a perfectly good reason and use for the radioactive material.

If Iran had it for making pictures, they would have been bombed already.

Iran has been visited by the U.N. authority on atomic energy. They have not been forthcoming. If they were completely open (which they are not) any none harmful or none threatening use of atomic materials could be documented.

Iraq wasn't open either.

I don't blame Iran for not letting the inspectors in everywhere they desired. Just by looking at the in spitting distance history, you would think that it was a bad idea that could only lead to FURTHER sabotage.
