So I personally don't watch ¨The Daily Show¨, but one of my friends from school does, and she's hopping mad about what this new host, Trevor Noah, has said on Twitter.

Suffice to say, is was offensive.
Well, do you think the Internet outrage was justified, or do you think people are overreacting? Personally, I think that Noah crossed too many lines without actually saying anything funny or new.

The joke about the jewish kid was: if I would feel even worse if I had hit him with a German car.

Not very funny but not offensive either,

Its actually offensive to Germans but no one cares about that.

There is a group of people who scour famous people's tweets to find something to complain about like the
#cancelcolbert people

Offensive? Sure. That having been said, comedians tend to work on the wrong side of etiquette. These tweets seem to be more indicative of the fundamental problem of conveying risqué humor over the Internet - you have no inflection to really make the joke stick.
