I have absence epilespy. It's a chronic thing for me. I have had them since god i can't even remember. People ask me,"so does that mean you'll be able to drive?" all the time. I probably won't.

i suspect form seeing this that my niece may also have these, i just told my sister to ask her doctor about it. and i notice that my nephew in some picture his eyes are doing what my niece i do so i wonder :?: and my eyes use to do the same thing that their eye do, so next time i go to the doctor i'm gonna ask about how can i get tested to see if i had them when i was young in sometimes now.

I don't think they can test to see if an adult used to have seizures as a child, but I could be wrong.

They may be able to tell if you have them now. I doubt they'll take you seriously if you have no reason to believe you are having them, though.

well in my family their is a history of seizures, my second youngest brother use to have full blown seizures every night, it stop at around 12 i think. and my big brother had one but it was mild but he still went to the hospital cause it happen while he was sleeping in he woke up during it. and i had one when i was a baby just 1. and my niece that suspect of having absent seizures had a seizure at two due to a high fever. so maybe if i tell that information they may take me serious, hopefully, sometimes i get lazy doctors that just tell me stuff like if it isnt effecting you it must be mild don't worry about it.

A family history of seizures isn't enough to get yourself checked. You have to be showing signs of it yourself before a medical professional will take you seriously.

This goes for most things.

I've had seizures before and still do have them from time to time. I went to a neurologist and he said I may have sleep paraylsis but he wasn't sure. He said that the only place that he could refer me to which could further investigate did not do overnight EEG scans which would be required to diagnose abnormal activity whilst sleeping. Very helpful.
Oh yeah, and that's not even considering the fact that unless you happen to have a seizure on the day or night you get scanned, problems are unlikely to be found.

This is about what I thought, but I didn't want to pass along false information.
