I'm a 34 A, and I hate wearing bras, but sometimes I have to in order to keep my nipples from throwing through thinner shirts. It took me a long time, but I finally found out that the demi bra that Body by Victoria's Secret makes fits me well and is very comfortable.

It's pretty without being ruffly or stupid, and it's a very soft underwire that molds itself to fit a person. Plus, it doesn't have any of the annoying padding smaller girls seem to be pressured to wear.

Personally, I don't wear one, its not that I don't want to, but because I don't have any at the moment. I really should get one, but thats a project for another day, as I'd need to size myself, and I don't have that kind of time right now. I find if I'm running down a set of stairs it can be quite annoying. I do know a couple people (early 20s) who don't like them, the person I am thinking of right now, not sound like I'm steretyping, is, quoting her, a butch lesbian, although she will wear a sports bra if shes going to be active.

How can you still wear 34DD if you live in UK, the Bra Wonderland?

There is no problem to buy 34DD bra, especially in UK.
Some years ago I thought I wear the same size, but I was wrong, it was really 30J.

Here's British bra sizes chart:

[img][650:515]http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/7853/tabelarozmiarowbrytyjsk.jpg[/img]

How to use it?

I have 70 cm under my bust - it should be measured tight, because band supports 90% of boobs weight and bras are made of elastic fabrics.
So I subtract 5 cm --> 65. (if you have f.e. 78 --> 73 --> choose smaller --> 70)
I have 105 cm in bust - it should be measured quite loose, straight on nipples level.

I search 105 in the 65 line --> it's between HH and J, so I should try both sizes and see which is better.
I recommend bigger size for beginners, because when you wear right size, body comes back from back and armpits to breasts. They become larger or more firm. And back is smooth without "fat". When bust is higher, waist looks more slimmer.

If chart is too difficult, try electronic calculator here: http://www.atlastravel.nazwa.pl/mini/
It gives sizes in many countries systems.

Thanks for that chart and explanation! I knew my bras weren't fitting correctly but I wasn't sure why. Turns out I'm wearing a cup size too small and two band sizes too large!

Nice to read it :D

Most women wear wrong bra size. Sth definitely not logic: they prefer expensive surgery and its risk than much more cheaper bra in right size. But this bra has letter like f.e. G or J. Letterphobia can be strong. Surgeons like it

Oh, G-size. Here's LB's action. It's Polish wordgame. Nagie means naked, but na G (read: na-gie, sth like nah-gye) means G-sized.

Image

Text below: Don't believe in stereotypes. G is normal size like every else. Do you want to know more about real sizes? See LB's website

Hmmm.
I've always worn 36C, but the calculator thingy said I should be 34B. Trouble is, when I've worn bras smaller, they are too small! I don't get it.

I find sports bras can be easier to wear than others.

I wore one for years and years either though I'd didn't really want to or like it. Now I don't. Luckily I can get away with it. Don't know anyone else who doesn't though

Alycat, you probably measured not correct.
If you use inches, maybe you did mistake in covertion to cms?

LOOSE in bust level, nipple level! And straight. Our boobs aren't made of silicon, so it's better to bend down a little. If you can't measure yourself, ask for help f.e. sister or friend.

Underbust - straight and TIGHT.

Band is basic. It supports 90% of weight:
Image

Image

How should it look?
Image
6: It's only to make it all stabile. It's not for support. If you don't have support, choose smaller band.
7: Band should lay straight. If you can tie your band, it's really too loose. Use first fastening in new bra. Every fabric stretches, so tighter are for later.
8: Your back should be smooth, no fat above is allowed! If you have sth like photos below, choose bigger cup - I said CUP, not band!
9: It's a strap, not shoulderbreaker. If it pinches, choose smaller BAND.
Can you see she has each boob in its own cup?

Bra is not a cover - it's Perfect Support Machine!

Some people wanted to change size, but they couldn't do it. Maybe they still believe that if back is segmented like a earthworm, band is too tight? It's not true. Too tight band is trying to slide down to thinner waist. Too loose is riding up and you can take your boobs out of bra - from down. Or they go away without any help when your hands are up.

Before wrong, after... wrong again! Don't do it, please!
Image

Image

Why has she only a half boob in the cup? Is she afraid of bigger cup?

It's BRAS thread, so it's about... (everybody's waiting)... about bras! If "bra" word makes you blush, don't read it, but to hell don't flag these totally asexual pictures! Understood?

Valoyossa, you're amazing! I'm currently wearing the first truly comfortable and supportive bra I've ever worn. Never has the band stayed in place on my back like it is now. That "bra matrix" site is very helpful indeed and I've passed it along to my mom as well who has been amazed at how wrong we've been about how our bras should fit. Just wanted to thank you again, you've been a great help! :D

I'd like to show you photogallery Do You Wear Panties Wider Than Your Hips?
it's here: http://picasaweb.google.com/rimidimi/Experiment#

Sth extra from me: model is dressed, but if you measure yourself to fit a size, do it without clothes. You don't wear bra on shirt!
