I sleep without a blanket or even a sheet when it's warm. Did you really think I would post about the heat with a blanket covering me, on an Internet forum, without first removing the blanket to see what would happen? Come on.

Question for you: do you often assume people are idiots until proven otherwise?

My son had seizures every time he had a fever starting at 14 month of age, at his last vaccination at 3 years of age the seizure was so bad he almost did not come out of it and they gave him Phenobarbital that time.

Later I switched from Tylenol to Motrin which controlled his fevers better.
I switched to a 'immunsystem' busting diet and he got less colds, between the age of 4 and 6 he was 2 year seizure free and the doctors told me he had outgrown them.
He then had another one at age 6 and we had to take him for EEG and MRI.
I used to watch him like a hawk , by every little cold I was right there with the Motrin.
He eats a very healthy diet and almost never gets sick, so he has not had any seizures since.
He is almost 14 now. I still do not believe that he has outgrown them.
I never let a fever get out of control anymore, my radar is right on him when I think something is coming up ( although he did not have one cold the whole year).

I hate seizures, the scare the sh**t out of me......

at the final assessment day ,the old "douche" child psychologist said: " maybe it is a little from his "seizures". ( she wanted to say it is not AS)....

Yes, I also have this very bad, or something like it. Rapid fluctuation of internal body temperature. Hot weather--I wilt. I spray myself like a plant to keep from wilting. Always I keep the sprayer handy. If the window isn't open at night even during winter, I feel like I'm suffocating. In most people's houses, I get claustrophobic and feel like I'm suffocating. When I have to sit in a room full of people, I get claustrophobic and feel like I'm suffocating. The next thing is that my temperature spikes, blood overheats, face gets red and I have to get myself cooled down quickly after that. My blood is constantly overheating which tends to cause or exacerbate infections.

But also I can get very cold. So cold that it takes several hours and very hot temperatures to thaw out. Then once I start thawing out, I have to be careful I don't get too hot with blood overheating again. The thing I try to do is stay one step ahead of temperature shifts by anticipating them....then adding or removing clothing immediately. Or immediately exiting situations that make me feel too hot and like I can't breathe.

I remember in school I used to wear long pants and a jumper on hot days. I just couldn't feel the heat. These days I'd probably wear a t-shirt and need to drink a lot of water.

I overheat really quickly. 10-15 minutes is all I can bare in the sun. When it's cold I either wear layers or need to have the heater turned on. I usually jump under a blanket. And this is only in 14-16 degree weather. When it's really cold my limbs start aching and my eyes start stinging.

I should start bringing clothes with me like Age because I get very cold then I start to overheat.

I remember driving down to Canberra. The van has really hot and when I got out of the van it was freezing. I ended up getting ill because of the sudden change in temperature.

I'm very cold blooded but not so bothered by heat. I don't warm up all winter. My family always make fun of me, so I got back by saying that they live in a meat locker (which it is). Fortunately I live on my own. I keep the heat up in the winter, which doesn't help the bills, but I save them in the summer.

In the summer, I can't stand to go from the hot weather into a cold air conditioned building. So I bring along my jacket when shopping to wear inside. Usually I'm the only one doing that. If I don't wear my jacket, I'll be shivering in the store.

I hate indoor heating in winter. When the central heating is on in my flat, I go into my room which has it blocked off and put on a jumper. I am cold, but the stifling sticky heat is unbearable and I need one room I can escape into when I start to overheat.

Are you suggesting the explanation i was going to give is that your sheet makes you build up heat? cause i wasn't.

I see people as clockwork, robots executing functions that i've come to know very well. I think i have never seen a person as idiot in my life, mostly because of my low self steem that made me see everyone as superior to me in every - single - way.

Autism is a disturbance in the organic heat of a biological body, so disturbances in physical heat are a good indication of presence of autism. I believe that organic phenomena can sort of... lead to the corresponding version of physical phenomena. For example, i believe organic electricity can "dissolve" into classic electricity, organic heat can create heat of the normal kind, and so on. But not always, the lack of an increase in classical heat during organic thermal expansion is proof, i think.

My son is in kindergarten the year is not even half over. He has autism. For starters I noticed during summer how Ricky would not sleep unless the ac was set at 72. Not higher not lower. Anyways today I had reached my last nerve with his school. I guess I was always right. I did observation on my son during the summer and realize his body temp is not like everyone else's. He was diagnosed at 2 with autism. Now we live in mn it is winter it's so cold here the government shut the schools down on Monday predicting how cold it is going to get. Now we also finally got a vehicle where we have rear air control AUSOME!! !! ! Cus now my son can be comfortable it's wat I was looking for. Anyways back on track his school called us up YET AGAIN to pick him up because his temp elevated. He has missed so much school in 3 months. Yes THREE MONTHS. I was so torn apart and outraged with how I feel he gets treated differently. Even felt a bit paranoid bout being judged as a bad mom because I sent him to school with a "fever". Anyways I called his social worker and informed her about wat was going on and she never heard how him having autism effects his body temp. But I always knew it had to do with that. How I have no clue I'm not a doctor nor a scientist I am an ASD mom that knows her son that well. I figured I would do my own research to help me confirm myself I'm not stupid about the issue. THANK YOU for ur post seriously from the bottom of my heart if u don't mind I like to share it with his social worker. From the mouth of someone with ASD who has dealt with professionals confirmed what I had figured all along. I don't mind going to a doctor but I'm tired of professionals treating me as if I don't know wat I'm talking about. Seriously most of them I had to teach them wat they should have known all along. Once again I say thank you. The whole sock and sleeve thing I can picture my son doing that and I think it's cute lol. He has taken his sock off his foot and put it on his hand like a glove. I try to get a picture because it's just too flippen cute.

I have problems with fast switching of temperatures. So being forced to do cloth shopping with family in summer on an "shopping street" (no mall, but simply a normal outside street, where you almost have a shop in every house), caused me two times metabolism breakdowns, due to the sh***y shop airconditions, that have idiotic settings. So you are outside - hot, go inside - superfreez, get outside again - hot - get inside again - hyperfreeze, .... -.-
