I view the world from 5ft 4" off the ground.
Conversation is starts off fine then my speech difficulties and visual thinking mind can't communicate effectively so I give up.
Interests: Music, telescopes, story writing, movies, photography.

I don't even have to think about thinking I'm constantly doing it. I think in pictures. I constantly have a movie in my head. I can't just sit down and watch TV or a movie.

I think the world is widely unseen and clouded by subconscious assumptions.
I like to read books.

My interests are writing, photography, cricket and prehistoric animals.
I don't know how I think. I just took a silly thinking styles test and it said this,

Your Dominant Thinking Style: Experimenting

You're all about looking at the facts, and you could always use more of them.
You see life as your lab - and you're always trying out new things, people, and ideas.

The master of mix and match, you're always coming up with unique combinations.
You are good at getting a group to reach consensus.

there are exceptions to every rule. or at least to this particular rule. i would not like somebody else who doesn't know me to say i should be lousy at open-ended questions. mediocre at them, yes i am but not lousy. at least not at this. given enough time i could come up with a substantive answer.

thank you, fakealias for this question, it is a fun one.

anyways, [taking the question literally] the interests are:
digital signal processing/restoration of corrupted audio
watching pretty people on the beach
music and its reproduction via state-of-the-art audio components
heaven and armchair metaphysical ponderings
swimming laps at the ymca
sunsets, the redder the better
CHEESE and CHOCOLATE!
kind and understanding people, and having conversations with same
humor

now, as for how i think- that is a tough one. i have been accused of not thinking enough, and that is probably true. but the way i think is:

somewhat addled/disorganized much of the time- my "working memory" has never been so hot, so i long-ago got used to writing lots of notes down on little scraps of paper which are strewn about the residence, which i try to archive onto the 'puter. a PC is mandatory for me to keep track of information, for the most part. my place is too messy to consistently find reference works, they are buried underneath piles of whatever. i have always been reasonably fluent in written expression, even if my spelling and grammar fall down often. but my brain lacks the fluent verbal expression plug-in, so i don't talk so well, most of the time. there is a disconcerting time-delay between needing to say a particular thing, and that thing being delivered by my brainworks to my mouth to say it. like several hours after the conversation ended. or several days.
i can't explain this other than it being a half-@$$ed bit of psychic phenomena, but i often get "intuitive" ["SWAG" hits] answers to things i have been wondering about, without being aware of any intellectual process of arriving at an answer. people have asked me to explain myself but i can't. it's like asking a cat how it meows.

other than this, my thinking is pretty simple, child-like.

Your Dominant Thinking Style: Modifying
Super logical and rational, you consider every fact available to you.
You don't make rash decisions and are rarely moved by emotion.

You prefer what's known and proven - to the new and untested.
You tend to ground those around you and add stability.

I am interested in autism like you are and I love being online. I like to write which I should get back to.

Things don't come natural to me like words. I say what comes to my mind and I have to think of other words to say but to NTs they don't have to do that.

I also have obsessions and they never go away. They are always in my head.

When I think I see pictures. When I see words, I see pictures.

If I can't make a picture in my head from what I am reading, I do not understand what I am reading.

I am more connected to my thoughts that feelings.

I view the world through those red/blue lense 3D glasses, one eye at a time.

Conversation is usually banal unless we're discussing the nature of reality, mythology, politics, science fiction, photography, or anything else that gets my brain going.

I think the world is what it is, where it is and when it is. I take it as it is, not as I would wish it to be. There is little I can change and I do what I can within the small area in which I can make a difference. Anything beyond that is wishful thinking.

hmm and I got:

Your Dominant Thinking Style: Exploring

You thrive on the unknown and unpredictable. Novelty is your middle name.
You are a challenger. You tend to challenge common assumptions and beliefs.

An expert inventor and problem solver, you approach everything from new angles.
You show people how to question their models of the world.

not sure about the first line or not but the rest is accurate enough.

(And I'm definitely crap at open-ended questions except once in awhile so this is the only part I can respond to.)

The world has no inherent meaning or value. All meaning and value comes from what we ascribe to it. There is no absolute truth or law. We are simply bio-mechanical systems. But we do have our minds and we might as well use them for something like thinking and learning and caring for one another.

As for conversation, when it can be used to exchange ideas and analyze and test what we think we know, it can be exciting and fun. Sometimes you have to wade through some less than exciting conversations to get there, but a good conversation with an intelligent person can be as much fun as thinking alone. And it has the advantage that, with another person, you can get new ideas that you might not come up with on your own.

How do we think! Whaat! :)

That would send the really analytical ones of us into meltdown. I don't even want to think about how we think unless I was getting paid a waggonload of cash from a neurological/ cognitive department . I would want a paid six month holiday after finding a solution to this question and lots of Leggo, on expenses.

That is nearly as bad as asking how do we incorporate a meaningful model of visual perception into our thinking and general consciousness.

Such questions are highly addictive and best put into a mental quarantine zone.

I have an extremely wide range of interests that change so frequently no one can keep up (and they vary too, from the most common, to the most scientific, to the most useless, to the most wacky, and occasionally to the most amoral. Don't ask). 8O

I view the world in an odd way. My expectations of the world are high and very unrealistic. I am always absolutely truthful (to the point of insult) and I expect the world to be just as truthful and trusting. I constantly find the way people act to situations to be weird, different, and foreign (to me). Everything on earth is a mystery with no answer. Sometimes stressful, sometimes joyful, but always mysterious to me. :cyclopsani:

Conversation for me is nonexistant without a specific topic and subject. Oddly enough, the best conversation for me is the one where no one talks, but enjoys each others' company (not in the way you're thinking!). This is why I have a peaceful relationship with my dog and parrot, but not with anybody else. This is also a source of stress for me, but that's off topic. :monkey:

Actually, this is only a brief synopsis of how I veiw the world. I could go on forever explaining every detail (as is my custom).
