I heard of some geneticists trying to find the elusive "autism gene" who were able to create autistic behaviors in mice.

I'm also pretty sure animals have psychiatric disorders; my sister's dog is obsessive-compulsive. (To anyone reading this who actually has OCD, I don't mean this unkindly.)
