I have been trying to understand how it is that NTs think, as opposed to how us aspies think. To me it is totally foreign, and part of me still struggles to believe that they actually think differently to us

After reading this thread from 2 years ago by Salonfilosoof:

It made some sense to me. The fact that NTs do things more on a subconscious level. That is, they go about their Life just interacting on an intuitive level mainly. Whereas, an aspie uses conscious thought to do things. In that, we have to think about each and every thing that we do. This is why we are so much more drained from our days because we have to use so much more mental energy to get through. Whereas an NT uses far less energy.
Perhaps socialising is an extremely complex process and hence takes us longer to think about each and every part of it and hence means we miss things here there and everywhere (not necessarily that we are incapable of reading people if we are reading them in utter isolation like a picture of a person, while sitting in a quiet lab), particularly if we are already tired. (I wonder, are we better at socialising in the morning when we are less tired than we are after a long day? I can study better in the morning, and have no hope of studying at night time).

I overthink and analyse absolutely everything, and it is utterly exhausting for me!

How do you guys feel about the differences in how NTs interact with the World compared with us?

Also, what do people think of his idea of a deficiency in dopamine amongst aspies? I have studied this link to those with ADD/ADHD, but not with Asperger's....

Yes, I think it's difficult to parse out where the dividing line is. NT introverts expend energy while on the social front and are "discharged" by this. Yes, they have a social intuition and yes they still need general contact. But some spectrum folk need some contact themselves. (Some are married and date) It's a bit blurred.

I think the fissure line cuts it with " social intuition " and a lack in some general instinct i.e., "intuition." E.g., A time management- sense.

Hence a ToM syndrome. That is Turned on Mind.

I tried to understand them, too! For many years
but then I realized it's pointless. There is no need for me to understand them.

Anyway, you are wrong. They DON'T do everything on intuitive level, I can tell you that much. They also tend to over think, and over analyze.

Thoughtlessness is enlightenment. And happiness. How many of them are enlightened and happy? Yeah, there you go.
