From my wife, a second printing of the first edition of Child Psychiatry from 1937 in really nice condition. I browsed through it a bit, now just starting to read it properly, but, wow, what a great writer. This is an amazing book.

I have heard that this book changed radically in the 2nd edition. Would anyone be able to elaborate? This (the 1st edition) is the only version I've ever read.

I thought this was going to be about your parents purchasing a book as a subtle-but-not-too-subtle hint about a perceived flaw in your character that they felt needed remedied... Like when my friend's parents bought his girlfriend a long-sleeved, baggy shirt (not any religious garb) claiming she dressed too immodestly (he and his family are Muslim, she is not).
