It is a cool graphic. I find it odd that only the color correlates to the percentage. The line thickness does not. So OCD and Anxiety have a stronger connection than appears true at first glance. Assuming that the source data is correct that seems to be a problem with the visualization.

This is similar to a problem with pie charts. A pie chart can be misleading because the visual impact of a wedge doesn’t always correlate with the information it should impart. A ring chart is better. The idea you get from the chart should match the reality to be a good visualization. Some maps of the world make Greenland look much bigger compared to other land masses than it really is.

The colour is the correlation co efficient of the genetic link and thickness the statistical sig I believe.

You can't upload pictures to here, if that's what you mean. You'd need to host them somewhere.

I've long known of the overlap of symptoms in shitzophenia and autism

While shitzophenia is more widely attributed to be a mental illness with hallucinations, delusions and paranoia as the positive symptoms. the negative symptoms sometimes overlap with autism. Some of the overlaping negative symptoms include

  • social withdrawal early on
flattened affect, which means that people may not express emotion in typical ways and may speak in a monotone voice or have a lack of facial expression
    poor eye contact
    problems communicating
    restricted speech
    unusual behaviors
psychomotor abnormalities, which is the relationship between cognitive function and physical movement

The link is great enough that, a disporportionate number of autistic individuals will also develop shitzophenia

I find that graph fascinating. I think each disorder should have its own colour, though.

Surprised at the lack of genetic correlation between ADHD and ASD.
