That can't be right There's more of us than that. How could I have possibly met four other diagnosed aspie females in my lifetime (except by an extremely lucky chance) if there were so few?
Birds of a feather flock together? I'm guessing you didn't meet them at the place where they diagnose it or it wouldn't be so surprising.
I've met them pretty randomly actually.
Two I knew of at my old school (one of the two, EVERYBODY knew about (she was the extremely loud/outgoing type like me), the other (a shy one) I found out later).
The third I actually heard about from my counsellor at uni, and we arranged to meet up - she was really nice but I guess we didn"t really connect.
The fourth was at my work, and my boss accidently let slip that this girl had AS too, so after I found out I got to know her, and it turns out we get along really well.
So yes. But none of those were in the case of us flocking together, all were random occurrences. I reckon by the "flocking together" rule I've also met a few aspie girls, but as I'll never know if they were AS officially, they don't count.
So four would be more like the absolute minimum number of aspie girls I've come in contact with over my lifetime.
