And still work? There's this guy I met who's 18 and reads at a grade school level. His handwriting is about that level too. And his general maturity level is about 7. He believes everything said to him no matter how ridiculous. His understanding of things sucks. Ask him about his last job, for instance, and he thought it meant the last job he'll ever work at, as opposed to previous job. He doesn't know simple words such as coworker or supervisor. Just wondering if it's possible for him to work and if so, at what job?

Sure, with a boss who's a decent individual and provides a little bit of coaching, he can probably do a variety of things.

Of course, bosses like that are only about one boss out of three, that's kind of the sad truth.

He's going to be very vulnerable to bullying, I would think, which can take many forms. Sounds like he would need a diagnosis and appropriate adjustments made. It's not going to be easy, but with the right support I would hope so. I wish him well.
