mezzo, F below middle C to F above top C (when my soprano range was at it's best and frequently used - not these days so much). So, 3 octaves is my best range.

Not sure of the exact range but was tested for range and told to put down baritone when auditioning for musicals.

I'm a first alto in my community chorus, but I'm definitely more of a mezzo-soprano since I can go higher than the average alto. I actually had a hard time choosing between first alto and second soprano, since both kind of fall into the mezzo range. I also wanted to be an alto so I could sing harmony as opposed to melody, which is what the sopranos mainly sing. I also don't have to worry about those ridiculous high notes that the first sopranos sing!
