My ex (who I have a strange on-off thing with 8 years after the fact) calls me "Bear" sometimes. I don't really understand it cause I'm not bear-like at all (I'm not hairy or physically large whatsoever) but I've always kind of liked it for whatever reason.

I think it's because I remember in high school before we were together she sketched a picture one day of "me" when she was bored in class, and in the picture I was an actual bear but I was upright on 2 legs rocking a North Face vest and toting a case of Milwaukee's Best Ice and a cigarette.

How cute is that

hahaha nice

I've never called my GF a bear, but once i said that if we were bears, i would totally hibernate with her and that it'd be effing awesome 'cause it'd basically just be a couple straight months of nonstop good sleep and lovey cuddle time. & then she thought that was so cute she had to blog about it i guess.

other nicknames include:
-loverr
-lovee
-lovemuffin
-wifeyy
-Aidee
-Cuddlemonster
:)

I'd fear for my life if I ever called a woman a "bear" to her face

Your hibernating analogy is pretty on point though.

All the time too, I use to think it was a name I kind of invented. I also use the word ladybug, Lipshen, Lady Who, Sheeba, Sweet Pea, Princess and so on.

Just to give you some ideas in case you get sick of the same name. :P

.

Mine's a bit dull by comparison - it's 'little goose'. I used it from day one and it's now stuck.

I may have to borrow some yours, Seanmw (so long as there are no objections).

Yep silly goose would do, I think. I keep telling her that I like the way she waddles when she walks. But I then looked waddle up in the dictionary - its not complementary! But love's blind so she's still happy.

While we're on the subject (sort of) . You might want to think what I'm talking about when discussing 'drumlins' (hopefully I am not being too weird here)!
