I'm curious. When my spouse gets depressed, I get depressed. Since I (with AS) have a decreased ability to read/understand whether she is being depressed/upset because of me, whether it's my fault, or what to do about it, etc., etc... Are AS people more likely to mirror their partners strong emotions, escpecially depression/being upset (specifically within AS/NT relationships)?

I voted no because with my partner I'm more likely to be focussed on getting him to feel better again. I do know what you're talking about, but for me this tends to be more of a problem with my parents, (and my mother in particular). Not really sure why the difference.
