Some people are obsessive over cleaning there room it has to be spotless etc. for me I like a little mess my floor is spotless now (since dad cleaned it) and it feels weird I HATE cleanliness sure it was kind of messy but not to the point of bugs THEN I'd worry but otherwise for me personally it's no big deal. So WP how do you feel about having a clean room?

If it is my mess, I am ok with it! I can't stand other people's messes. I enjoy when my room is clean (gives it a sense of newness or something) but mess doesn't bother me. Lately my room as been particularly clean because I have three cats that like to destroy things so my room has been made nearly child(cat) proof.

To me, a clean room feels devoid of anything. I know pressure is a thing for some of us, in this case its visual pressure. Empty space is unnerving.

I like the area I spend my time in to be organized. My bed room is only there for sleeping so I don't really care what it looks like.

My dream house has an empty room with no windows, bright lights, whites walls and deep, fluffy white carpet.

I'm not mighty obsessive with keeping it clean. I like it clean and have to vacuum a lot because of dust and my allergies. I do like a bit of clutter. I can't even see the bottom of my computer desk right now, lol.

When I clean, I have to do a thorough job... in other words, I have to take all day. And I'm usually unable to do that for several reasons:
1) I have to do (or want to do) other things
2) I'm not in the mood
3) Cleaning requires me to bother my roommate (such as asking to borrow the vacuum cleaner or something like that)
4) I'm not sure whether something needs to be thrown out or not, get worried that I may need it, and end up keeping it

But eventually it gets to the point where I can't deal with the mess anymore and have to do some cleaning... even if it isn't so thorough.

Although sometimes I wonder why I get worked up over keeping everything tidy when it's just going to get messed up again.

I would love for my surroundings to be clean and orderly all the time. I would feel much more peaceful and at ease. Unfortunately, I lack the energy and ability to make that happen, especially since my too-small house is full of other people's things, which I can't just throw away.

It may look like a mess, but I actually know where everything is, especially if I can see them from any point in the room. Now, if someone else comes and "cleans up" (which usually really means dropping all the stuff wherever they find an empty spot[1] and/or breaking stuff while "dusting"[2]), *that* would be more of a mess, as I wouldn't be able to find anything anymore.

I know at some point I have to put things in the proper order, but righ now, work doesn't leave me as much free time as I'd like[3], so non-essential stuff like this can wait.

[1] which is really the equivalent of sweeping all the dirt under the carpet and nothing more
[2] which isn't all that different from "hammering"; anybody knows the proper way to clean is to take a small cloth and/or a small brush and delicately remove the dust from the surface of each object, one by one
[3] yes, I've been working for over 11 months now as a web admin; it's not quite part of my career (electronics engineering), but I get to do other stuff too, most of which does fit into it[4]
[4] like training the interns at the tech service department, laying out the cabling for the multimedia/gaming room, building a cutting-edge PC with 3 monitors for display, and doing some camera work at an event we sponsored

I do like clean rooms but mine is rarely clean! It usually starts with me forgetting to put one thing away then escalates until I have piles of god knows what growing all over my room! Thankfully in this place I have people who help me to keep my room tidy otherwise it would look a hell of a lot worse!

No, I usually have it semi-untidy.

I'm obsessive with cleaning hygiene-wise, but my room? In the words of my mother, "It looks like a bomb's hit it." It's not like I don't tidy it, it just always ends up a complete and utter mess. Probably within about an hour of cleaning it, it looks the same as before I started.

My room is not very messy, but not spotless either. I am pretty careless about cleanliness of my room.

My room is extremely untidy, but it is not unhygienic. I wish I could manage to keep it tidy.

My room is chronically messy. The floor is like a huge "shelf" for everything, with a narrow passageway to get from the door to my bed. It looks like someone took a regular, reasonably cluttered room, and shook it in a giant salad shaker. When I was little, my parents would make me clean my room, which basically consisted of pushing everything into the middle, sorting out my belongings into a separate pile, then sweeping the trash and dust into a bin. And just as soon as it was clean, the mess would begin to appear again.
