Does anyone else like to read magazines and articles backwards? I've noticed that I do this for some reason.... (Am I just lame and bored for posting this thread? You decide.)

I have done it occasionally. I also read upside down and in mirrors.

I cannot speak to your state of boredom, but from my perspective you aren't lame (in the colloquial sense).

:)

I think it would be cool if i could read backwards, or speak backwards. That would be quite cool, but alas, i can't.

Yeah. Helps my attention span. I've done it with articles and posts.

I usually read the end of an article before starting it.

I usually start from the end and work my way to the beginning, that way, if the beginning is too boring, I can stop as I know the rest of the story...

I never done that, but I usually read whole paragraphs and look to the next one up in the list

No, but I write backwards where it is necessary to get a mirror to read what i have written. I have also been known to play my clarinet music backwards...does that count as reading backwards??

I think Leonardo Davinci used to do this. He would write his notes in another language and backwards to avoid persecution from the church. I wish I had the visual spatial skills to do this.

when I was a kid I was pretty obsessed with writing backwards (mirror-image), upside-down, and microscopically. I tried left-handed writing as well. I also liked to read things backwards out loud. sometimes I still try words backwards because I think they're funny. I also read magazine articles out of order. I hate starting at the beginning of a magazine and reading it in order.

I wish I could speak in reverse. Hearing it in a show or movie creeps me out, it does other people I know as well. It sure would be great for a prank call (but then again there's always Audacity).

I do that too, start from the back of magazines. My nephew called me on it not too long ago, and I told him I'd always read mags like that. He said it was very strange, I just chuckled.

I read the English text vertically, like a Japanese. :)
(But, I can only read for kids. )
