I've read lots of the Holmes stories. Particularly the full novels. I enjoyed them very much. I saw the movie a couple days ago with an Aspie friend, and it's not the original, but it is a very fun. I'd recommend it.

I have too. I can see why they were so phenomenally popular when they were first published. If anyone knows of a young student who needs encouragement to read, tell them to try some of the short stories. They will probably end up wanting to read the entire canon, including the novels.

Robert Downey Jr.

I never read the series nor saw any Sherlock Holmes movies.
I thought the movie was good. I saw it on New Years and enjoyed it.

I noticed Sherlock was an aspie just a few minutes into the movie.

They stereotyped aspergers in his caracter like crazy!

Loved it :p

And yeah, the fights, I recognize how I am when faced with possible violence.

I'm callculated and have no fear at all in those situations.

Robert Downey Jr topless when he's fighting. Was Sherlock a good fighter even in previous films?

In the older movies he was quite the good swordsman, don't know about fighting really.

This adaptation was deliberatly modernized and made more action oriented.
