I remember playing them when I was 4 years old. In which I have been working with computers ever since that long ago. I used to play Hugos adventures, Wolfenstein, Kings Quest, Electroman, and other games from epic studios.

What have you played and how did it make an impression on you??

I still play Championship Manaher 97-98 sometimes (a soccer management game). As the name suggests it is based on the 97-98 season, and there is one of these games based on the players for every season. But anyway the 97-98 version was DOS (the last season to be so).

Played Ultimate DOOM, one of the most memorable moments in all of my years of gaming though I did not finish it.
Vaguely remember King's Quest from when I was like 7.

I remember playing Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying computer games on the DOS operating system quite a few years back. I've kept the games but they don't work with newer computers which is a shame because I miss playing them sometimes.

Get DOSBox. Windows XP tends to choke on DOS games but DOSBox will run them just fine.

I'd like to know more about that, as I have enough trouble as it is running DOS games

I wish I could tell you more, but I haven't used DOSBox in forever. I just remember that it uses a file as a sort of "virtual hard drive" that DOSBox reads as a drive, and to play games and stuff you have to mount them into the file using some in-program function.

About dos 2.0 there was a game called snake. Controls were up down right left. you started with a snake made of about 6 zeros and it added more and you had to keep the snake from running into it's own tail or body. On a z80 processer monochrome screen 5.25 floppy disk 360k size. Health kit computer my dad put togeher.

My favorite DOS games were (and are!): Doom (I and II) and the trilogy "Heretic", "Hexen" and "Hexen II". I still play Doom sometimes when I need to relax.

This got me thinking, and I recognise that I play Colonization, a Sid Meier DOS based game from early- to mid-90s, as a stim.

I used to play Duke Nukem 3D and Doom II, back when I had a Windows 95 computer. I'm trying to locate a copy of Duke Nukem 3D that will run on Windows XP, if anyone knows where it can be found, please post a link.
