Family will constatly say "you just said that" example: Wow that HOUSE marathon was great (change up wording) that HOUSE marathon was really good (basically say the same thing twice) I know it's a spectrum thing but I don't know how to catch myself doing it or how to fix it or what to do about this issue. Personally it's an annoyance to my parents and IMO just a quirk of AS and NOT a bother to me but it bothers them. Please help. :-) (That's one thing I think of the future (friends/boyfriend) would they think I am weird repeating myself and other such quirks. :-(

Don't be friends with, or date any jerks.

I do that a lot. when I talk I slow down and think how I want to say something and then say it.

I keep my obsession under wraps, around people. People like a mystery.

I also wish I knew how to stop myself from doing this. My mom gets mad at me when I say things and then say the same thing again using different words. It's usually when I'm talking about something that happened to me or something about a special interest, and I think I say it in different ways because I want to try and get the other person to experience it in the same way I experienced it, so I need to include all the details and use many different describing words so they can build up an accurate picture in their minds of whatever it is I'm telling them about. Or actually maybe I repeat it so I can relive it myself. I really don't know. All I know is that in the moment I can't seem to stop myself from repeating it.
