OK if you like Elizabethan gender roles I guess. Personally I'm happier with the "equal power" model........dominating just doesn't work, not for men or women.

Elizabethan gender roles is probably not the solution, but probably somewhere between that and extreme feminism.

I liked the movie because it made us all really think about the importance, or the non-importance of gender roles.

This conversation reminds me of my coworker. He said, "I wear the pants in the family, but she tells me which ones to wear."

i.e. equality. 8) Actually I still have a high regard for the really militant, "anti-porn" feminism of yesteryear, because it had far greater integrity and courage, and it was a part of the left-wing movement, whereas the modern "girl power" lot are natural right-wingers.

I've noticed that in addition to eye contact and smiles, a girl that has the hots for you has a tendency to act as though she needs to go pee really bad. I mean, she will still talk to you, but you'll see her shifting her weight from one leg to the other and things like that.

Omigod! 8O I was with a lady the other day who was doing that while I was talking to her, and it's not the only sign I've seen from her. She was sitting down the whole time but couldn't seem to keep still to save her life. 8O And she didn't nip off to the toilet afterwards. Could it just be a coincidence, do you think? I mean there must be other reasons for that "body language," mustn't there? Maybe I should drop it out in conversation that I'm not ready for a relationship yet, just in case she's raising her hopes? I'd hate to hurt her feelings, and I don't want to lose her as a friend either.

One way that I've noticed that girls have liked me is if they have constantly wanted to chat with me, and have. It's not 100% same on the Internet, but if you have a really good conversation going, it's a good sign she might have an interest.
