I really like this lady- she's 40 or so. I'm 28. Would that be awkward for her to date so young? I'd love it though. What are the set backs to doing so?

Also, how old would you go with the opposite sex?

I've dated a woman who was 11 years older than me. I have no problem with "cougaring up."

Speaking from experience, dating older women is GREAT ! !
The Missus is 14 years older than I am .....

It might but she would certainly be flattered if you asked her out, and she might say yes. She would not think ill of you in any way. She might just be wary because younger men tend to stray more.

40 year old women like to have fun like any other woman. Go ahead and ask her out.

I'm not one for dating older girls, but if it happens, then well, yeah, I'd be all for it.

[caveat; Leanne is drunk] Some people will have a problem, some won't. The only way you'll know if your lady interest does is if you ask. Be prepared for a 'no' answer and don't take it personally.

Good luck! :)

I don't really have an age rang for a partner but I don't think there is anything wrong with a major age difference even if the women is much older than the man as long as both partners are putting in effort to make the relationship work instead of the younger person only being with em for the house & money & the older person completely controlling the younger person

The only setback that I can think of is that you won't be having kids.

I'd have no qualms with that.

I wouldn't mind an older woman, but she would need to be sane and not with tons of kids.

My last boyfriend was younger than me, not by much only 4 years but he looks very much younger than that (I would say 10 years younger or more!).

I really did not like that aspect of the relationship. Lots of people asked me how old he was and I found it embarrassing, I felt like people were looking at me and judgeing me.

Everytime I looked at his young sexy body, I felt old and fat, when I looked at his pretty face, I felt wrinkly and old. I would not date someone younger than me again, it rubs in the ageing process, I think Im someone who needs someone to be ageing at the same rate as me.

Age is just a number. As long as both are "legal meat" and like eachother, you can do what you want.

Unless other peoples opinions about you are important enough to destroy the short time you have on this planet.

No problem with it as long as she doesn't have kids that you have to spend money on and you get what you want it sounds good.

enjoy your love!

i never have understood why there's is such a problem when people fall in love with somebody who is much younger or older. why does age matter??

somebody even made a formula for it when it is, and when it is not appropriate to have a relation...

if you are oldest: (age/2) + 7

or

if you are youngest: (age-7) * 2

see? so it is appropriate... ;-)

but who cares? i fall in love when i fall in love. i could not care less about age.
