This song always makes me think of this theory developed by the late physicist Hugh Everett III.

I rather think about a depressed guy talking to someone he loves or something like that. But our interpretations are necesseraly different. Plus I don't believe in the many-worlds one. I am determinist : B comes from A and A can't give birth to a different B ; what we call "chance" is just lot of things we don't understand or perceive.
