Mint 9 > Firefox 3.6.10 (Mozilla Firefox for Mint - 1.0) > Adobe Flash Player > ??

Whenever I accept the popup dialog suggesting installation of Adobe Flash Player, I always eventually end up at a "manual install" box with a variety of versions available because it either will not or cannot install automatically.

Which download should I select, and then what should I do with it?

Hm... curious, Mint comes with Flash pre-installed, you shouldn't be getting that dialog at all. Try 'apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras' and see if that works. I'd avoid getting the one from Adobe, because it's not packaged up clean and nice like the one from your friendly neighborhood Linux distributor.

I'm using Debian Lenny 64-bit with Adobe Flash player (64-bit version), and it works great here (Installed manually).
But as Orwell is saying, If your distribution comes with a working Flash player, I wouldn't see any reasons for not using that.

I installed mine using the tar.gz archive, you could always try to do that.
From a quick google search, I also found that there's a repository called: "Bianca repository", which should contain flash.

I hope any of this helps you, If not, write again

Ah. I had un-installed a bunch of Ubuntu stuff even before updating the initial installation of this Mint, and I bet that is why I do not have Flash and cannot now "update" it.
