I like many of you have recently heard of the internet phenomenon of furrys(people who wear animal costumes), and am shocked to see them achieving such hate on the internet? I have been dressing in animal costumes long before I found about about what a furry was, is it wrong if i am aroused by the sight of animals? i figured id post this here because you guys seem to be less judgemental.

Furries is a genre of hentai (sexually explicit animations) that involve animal humanoids. It is considered to be a "stepping stone" to bestiality by its critics hence the negative reactions towards it.

Furries are people who are interested in animals, usually anthromorphic ones (example: Bugs Bunny & Mickey Mouse). And while some are attracted to them in a sexual way, many are not like that and just think that they're cute & fun.
Saying that all furries are into nothing but yiff (that's slang for furry porn) is like saying all otakus are into nothing but hentai.
The internet as well as TV & movies always stereotypes those who are different (I would think that the people here on this forum should know that by now & realize what a bad thing that is) so of course they would show only the dark side of the furry community.
I'm not a furry, but I have friends who are & they're not into bestiality at all, and I'm sick of furries having a bad reputation.

Actually, you're thinking of "yiff" which is a genre of furry that overlaps with hentai.

Furries is more of an internet subculture thing - furry ideology, as far as I know, doesn't require interest in yiff to be a furry. Just interest in... well, anthromorphic versions of animals in typically, an anime-style fashion.

I'm not a furry, nor have I ever been, but I have held Otherkin beliefs (identification with a non-human entity, such as wolves or dragons - typically overlaps with reincarnation) before, which have been associated with Furries.

People are always going to be xenophobic it's just a sad truth, but being a furry or interested in yiff is not a thing to be ashamed of, and I'm speaking as a mild furry fanatic.

I never understood either why they are so hated and easily judged. They wear animal costumes, so what. They draw animal characters that are like humans. So what. Walt Disney did it, whoever created Bugs Bunny did it, whoever created The Pink Panther did it, anyone who created animal human like characters did it. I wonder if they were all furries.

Do you mean these people go out in public wearing animal costumes regularly while socializing and running errands and stuff?

okay first of all there is nothing in the bible that prohibits hentai, infact i consider it a jesus-approved alternative to all the internet smut out there. secondly i never said i was aroused by animals, I was just asking if i were to say, make love to my future wife, dressed as an animal would that be wrong. I only asked you guys because i hoped you wouldnt judge, please dont tell me im wrong!

I don't know. That's such a bizarre question, I'm not sure whether there are any moral issues or not.

I would be worried you might want to have sex with real animals - bestiality is against the word in the bible. Isnt it like looking at animal porn? You know where that leads....
