Alright guys, this is a thread to post videos of those instruments you don't see every day playing a complete song. Any song. I don't care if you like the song, I don't care if the instrument sounds like a horrible murder occurring, I just want pure entertainment of some kind. So... here's my contribution.

BRING IT ON. :x

I have one of these so it's not unusual to me, but not many other people know about it.

I also have two of these--Renaissance lute:

I've played this instrument, but don't currently have one. An archlute, a sort of Baroque lute (a bigger badder version of the Ren lute) on steriods:

I do not have one of these--they are very expensive and quite difficult to play. An archlute on steriods--the theorbo-lute:

This is a rackett, a Renaissance and Baroque bass wind instrument with a sound that was described to me once as "melodic farting":

Then there's the hurdy-gurdy. Nothing quite like it in construction, but is terms of the sound and drones, it's a bit like a bagipe. I actually find it's hypnotic:

A few very popular instruments (in their day) from the late Medieval-Renaissance period:

This guy's good. Here he is playing a Renaissance cittern, which I think is an awesome instruemnt. If good ones didn't cost $3000 (!) I'd have one myself. Note the stick he uses to pluck it--traditionally, a quill (like one used for writing) would have been used as well.

Here's a Renaissance guitar (no ,it's not a ukulele!) and a couple of crumhorns--you likely have heard the crumhorn''s distinctive buzzing sound before, not realizing what it was. Most people have no idea what they looked like.
