I lift weights. Not very heavy, lots of reps. Good music helps.
I also love to ride my bike. We have lots of bike trails around our house.
It's a great way to fend off anxiety, and depression.

Yes, and I do about the same by twisting the friction knob on my recumbent stationary model sitting in full view of the scenery on the TV screen (as well as my monitor) ... and if necessary, I can make it to the top by releasing that tension just a bit.

long, steep hillclimbs on my bike. And a nice 5K stroll in downtown San Francisco dodging tourists and Muni buses.

i used to own a bikee [semi] recumbant bike, it was a jewel. but it was so low slung that the barking slavering dogs which chased me were at my face level - YIKES! an indoor 'bent would be better, especially if it came with its own tv scenery channel. what a concept.

Same as FJP; relatively light weights, lots of reps and very short breaks between sets.

For me 10min jumping rope feels like the equivilent of an hour on my road bike. Granted, hills can be very challenging but if you're like me and don't live near any significant hills you can end up pedalling forever and not get that much of a workout. Don't get me wrong, I love to ride, I just don't have unlimited time if all I'm after is a workout.
