It's best to get that sort of thing checked. My mother had an entire series of strokes with fewer symptoms than that.

Of course I'm not one to talk. I frequently have things like that and I never get checked. I've even sometimes had one half of my body go rigid and the other half go limp. And the problem is that symptoms of strokes are in general almost all things that are within my day to day life so I have no way of telling at all whether or not I'm having one. Mostly due to the fact that I also have really weird migraines, seizures, and shutdown patterns that can all combine together in ways that look exactly like some kinds of stroke.

But still if it were someone else I'd still urge them to get checked. Maybe hypocritical, maybe just because I find it easier to tell someone else to do it than do it myself.

Scary -

I would look into the minstroke hypothesis.

Be better.

I'm still recovering from a shut down which was a severe non-verbal type.
Then when I could get a bit of speech back I noticed I couldn't move the right side of my body. I couldn't even speak on the right side.
It kind of happened when my left arm and leg jerked and I began stimming.
I noticed that I couldn't quite hear the TV in the next room and then I couldn't hear it at all.
The right side of my neck was even sweating and it still feels warm. It still feels like I have low muscle tone there.
I felt feverish too but now it's gone. My skin is still a bit loose though.
Even my right eye is affected. But I could open it. It just looks red.
A lot of tears streamed down my face too. I didn't exactly cry though.

So I don't know if this is a shutdown or something worse.
It started off as a shutdown though I'm not sure of the trigger. Sure enough yesterday was pretty stressful but I didn't have a meltdown.
I had an earache on my right side as well as sore eyes last night.
My balance was more worse than usual too. It was ok this morning but has gone back to how it was last night. I'm shaky and have really slow movements.

Is it possible that when recovering from a shutdown you might only recover on one side?
Or should I seek medical advice immediately?
I've been really tired today.

Yes, see a doctor ASAP.

Sounds like a partial seizure of some kind, especially if you are feeling so fatigued. There's quite a wide variety of seizures, depending where int eh brain they originate. Are you on any medications? Please see a doctor and tell him/her you believe you have had a severe neurological event and mention any medication you are presently on or have been on in the past.

At your age, a mini stroke, or transient ischemic attack (TIA), is less likely than a seizure, but it is still possible. Normally a TIA comes on without any preceeding symptoms, but seizures can be preceeded by a variety of symptoms. A TIA needs to be ruled out ASAP.

And if it was nothing I'd look like a hypochondriac. I wasn't sure if it had happened before. I usually can't move when I have a severe shutdown.
Do you think you could go to people during a shutdown? Even when they're sitting right next to me I don't even look at them.
Anyway, I didn't want to jump to conclusions so quickly.
I didn't even tell my own mother until this morning.

It doesn't matter if it was nothing. Its better to be safe than sorry.

I'm not able to see a doctor without my mum and she doesn't think it's that serious. She is concerned though.
I think it was a seizure. I lost a good hour before I was able to talk and I don't remember experiencing said hour.
However I will see a doctor. It's the weekend and I only usually can see him on a thursday. Personally I think he has no clue. Every time I go see him for something he doesn't know much about it or just gets it wrong somehow.

So anyway today people are either treating me like I'm an idiot for not going to the doctor, despite the fact I trust people that relate to me more than medical professionals. Or people that know me well just don't seem to give a f**k that yesterday I lost speech and couldn't move my entire right side.

I'm also a bit moody today because I'm not on medication.

I've always thought that it ironically sucks to have to go to the doctor when you're sick (and not feeling up to dealing with humans (or anything else, possibly), I mean). And judging from relatives I'd seen in the hospital, being there when ill sucks even worse.)

I have to lean toward people saying you probably ought to see a doctor. But ultimately it's your call. My dad has had at least a few "mini-strokes," and if I hadn't seen the effects of a bigger one on him first, I would've brushed them off as too minor to worry about. (In fact, I had to convince him and drive him to the ER myself.)

Dunno if it's related, but the left side of my body has been getting progressively stiffer as I've gotten older. I recently realized it's been that way since childhood, but just wasn't as noticeable then. Have no idea why, though, so I can't say if it's normal variation or a giant brain tumor that I don't know I have, or something.

That's what I think too.
But it's your decision. (Not your mother's if she isn't a medical worker!)
