What state is this in, and what moron is running this school district. The district will spend a ton on legal fees fighting this, and that's taxpayer money. If I lived there, whether I had kids or not, I'd be none too happy my tax dollars were going to fund a legal battle over this. What is their objection to the dog? What does it cost them? There's got to be more going on here. If this is nothing more than some pissing contest, then shame on them for starting it.

Dogs cause meltdowns in me, rather than help them. If I was in a class with a dog, I would ask to change classes in a heartbeat (or quicker).

Try legally, because it is a violation of Federal Law to deny someone access to their service animal under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
