Assuming you were born a representative of the opposite sex, what name would you have had? Did your parents tell you what name was chosen for you in such a case? If I was born a boy, I'd probably be named Łukasz which is a common male name here.

I'd be Michał (common name everywhere).
And it would be probably better for me. It's ok to be silent and mysterious boy. Girls should be giggling, protective and sociable.

Some people told me that I would be really cute, if I was a man.

If I had been born as a boy, my name would have been Manuel. My mother said that she and my father chose this alternate name because it starts with the same letter as the female name they had chosen for me and that was aparetly chosen because of one of my mother's favourite characters from a movie back then.

They considered me calling Jennifer, as an alternative female name, but decided that clashed with our family name too much. The combination simply doesn't sound good. What male name they would have in store for me then, I don't know and I'm probably better off this way. There is not many nice male names in German that start with a "J".

I don't think my parents ever considered it, as they were always pretty sure that I would be a boy.

My name would have been Sheldon if I was a boy, because it sounds so close to Shelby.

I think I would have been named "Jamie" if I were a girl; after my dad, whose name is "Jim."

My name is Ryan, but my mother let me know had I been born a girl my name would have been Jenny. It's kinda funny because I like the name Jenny and I hate the name Ryan

I don't know, but I like the name Sara and would have probably changed it to that anyhow.

Jaybee

But really, it would have been almost the same. I was named after my father despite being female. How happy for him that I also turned out to be a tomboyish little girl.

Alexander.

Would have been so much better than my given name, which I hate.

I also think some things would have been easier if I was male.

My mom said that she would have named me "Zoel" if I had been a boy. As for my girl name, I'm very thankful that I got "Chantal". My dad insisted on naming me "Genevieve"! :x

I would have been Dylan which I'm glad I'm a girl even though I still dislike my name. I like my middles names and would love to go by Jillene.

Yeah, but it only sounds good in French. I live in the United States. People here would butcher it. I think it sounds awful with an American pronunciation.
