I love that name! :D

Yeah, but it only sounds good in French. I live in the United States. People here would butcher it. I think it sounds awful with an American pronunciation.

If I'd been a boy, I would have been Thomas. My parents got to use Thomas for my younger brother. If he'd been a girl, they'd have called him Molly.

So why not switch? I began the switch to my middle name at camp when I was 14; switched over full-time at 17, when I went to college. It was easier than you might think. My first name is very common, but my middle name is not, so I prefer it.

My parents really wanted a boy and they wanted to name me Colten James. However I turned out to by a girl so they went with Alyssa Michelle.

I would have been Randall. My mom wanted to name me Laura Lee but my dad wouldn't let her. Thank you, Daddy.

I'd love to go by Jillene but my friends would have a hard time with it, mostly my friend Owen who took a long time to remember my name. Also most people wouldn't say Jillene right, I like it the French way. I hate hearing it with a hard J.

I was supposed to be a girl; that's what the docs told my parents before I was born. I'm not sure what name my parents had picked out but they came up with Nicholas rite before the stay in hospital was over so they could take me home.. I guess Nikki would be an obvious choice if I were a girl but I don't think my parents had planned on calling me that

If I were a girl I would have been named Isobel or Imogene.

A name I was supposed to have, but glad they didn't was Stephen.

My parents didn't say, but I think a fitting name...if I were a boy...would be luke. Then again, my name is carissa, so they could just call me chris.
