Have any of you heard of this? http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2010 ... pell-Check (I did do a quick search of the forum, but didn't find it)

Sounds interesting. I thought it sounded like something that could teach me to modulate the tone of my voice (I speak in monotone), but this seems like it could be a tremendous help for Aspies, even more so than learning better vocabulary in speach, because there is no truly good way to guage emotion from printed or written text, at least no way that I know of. I often resort to repeating points or ideas multiple times just to express emphasis.

Caution - the spell check which is comparatively simple and trivial is full of pitfalls. I would bde interested to see how they do it, but very slow to trust it.

Sounds like the kids in my class trying to censor me in a less obnoxious way...I'll try it, but if it forces me to be a liar, I'm not getting it.

Since aspies aren't so good at expressing emotions, how does this help? Seems an emotion magnifier would be more useful.

Oooh, a Voight-Kampff machine. The future is here. I'm going to finally find out if I'm a replicant.

The sounds in that video upset me. >_> You'd think people might warn of such things on a forum like this. I should learn not to wear my headset when clicking random links. And that's really not an emotional spell checker so much as a tactfulness spell checker.
