I am male and 17 with ASD and AS and one of the things that bug me the most is when I am standing in the wrong spot and one of my parents or friends would grab me by the arm and drag me out of the way. I feel so hummiliated when this happens and it makes me feel so stupid. Like I would be standing in a area and someone would come up to me and say excuse me and I would be thinking that I would be going out of the way but then the person would say that I am in the way agian. I feel so hummiliated when this happens it makes me feel so dumb when this happens. Had anynone had this happen to them?

Yes this happens to me quite often. Somehow I don't have the spacial awareness to realize when I'm in someone's way. It's very embarrassing when someone has to tell me to move out of the way.

I hate being touched on one shoulder and not the other. I think this be sort of related to OCD, though.

I hate it when people grab my arms. I don't like conversational touch of any kind, really. Or hugs, unless there's some meaning to them. I'm okay with hugging my grandma because I appreciate the sentiment behind it...but random hugs just to say hi are just annoying.

I hate casual contact. I find casual hugs just too intimate. I don't like being touched by surprise. I practically jump if I get touched on my back; my back is very sensitive.

I feel this way too, but I don't have OCD.

It's the level of the anxiety that you have along with it.

Okay, that makes sense. It just feels a bit wrong, unbalanced to me, but it is not a major source of anxiety.

I can't fall asleep if my wife is touching me. No footsies, hand holds, nothing. I have some aversion to touch when awake but it is manageable.

Yes, I hate casual, unexpected touch of any kind. I hate the way I visibly startle, and then I feel embarrassed on top of that. I hate when complete strangers have this overwhelming urge to hug me, or touch my hand in a handshake. Handshakes feel awfully intimate and intrusive, and then I feel like the touch is sticking to me and I want to wash it off or something. :eew:

Same here. If while sleeping I accidentally bump my boyfriend, or he touches me, it is very alarming. Once I screamed. But we don't mind a snuggle when we wake up.

If I'm lightly touched my it bothers me and I have to scratch off the place where I was touched. If I'm grabbed, or am expecting it, it's not as bad.

Yeah. If I know it's coming I'm much better at it.

A suprise touch or hug will literally leave me stunned for a second or two. When I was in basic training we had to have exercise buddy that we would have to use you as an elevation to do push ups and sit-ups on I think I was able to do a lot of sit ups and push ups because I could only concentrate on the fact someone is touching me. The cattle cars they drove us around in were an additional nightmare since we were crammed in there like sardines. 8O I had people pressed against my back, legs, arms, and even my chest what a friggin torture. I also worked with waitresses who felt bad for me for being tormented so much so they would give me hugs without warnings which in my opinion was worst then being tormented by my co-workers. Some waitresses would accuse me of being gay for not wanting to be touched by them some even got mad when I asked them not to do it again. I do not even let my parents hug me. They told me I would scream non-stop when they held me when I first came home from the hospital when I was an infant. They said I would quiet down a second or two after being laid down. :?

I don't mind being touched or hugged. I need that contact.

Sometimes I need the contact - I need that connection to another person. More often I shun it; if someone gives me a hug unexpectedly, I'll recoil; but any uninvited touch is unpleasant - and, at my job, unavoidable.
