Well she asked and I answered. I guess I should have done it in PM?

I'm not sure how old I was but I had lots of problems being potty trained. I kept resisting my parents. One of my cousin's kids had lots of problems being potty trained as well & the psychs said they think he has AS. I suspect he might have Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder instead thou. He doesn't seem like the stereotypical Aspie & he didn't have potty training issues with my aunt but she disciplined him. He kept fighting with my cousin about it but she didn't discipline or provide rewards to encourage him. I've read a few things that say people with OCPD tend to have problems with potty training because of issues being in control; they resist because they want to do things on their own terms; they are kinda rebelling. I was diagnosed with OCPD along with lots of other things; I'm almost positive I have AS but I do have some OCPD issues & I think some of my problems with potty training could of been that. I make a mess when I use the bathroom sometimes 8O

My mom had issues potty training me too. I wouldn't let her do it so I kept going in my pants and not even trying to use the potty chair. Mom thinks I was just confused about what I was supposed to do and thought I thought I was supposed to go in my diapers. Either that or I didn't want to give them up. So she figured I wasn't ready and put me back in them. Then at age three I quit but I had accidents up until age five.

I was 3 and a half when I stopped wearing them the first time. I've been back in them full time, since 2006 because I've lost control of my bowels. I wear pull-ups during the day. The topic was diapers, so I just had to say. 8)

Not going into detail but because of medical condition I have never been out of nappies, nothing to do with growing out of them in the normal way that one would, it's an unwanted part of life but one that you learn to cope with.
