Does anyone have any obsessions with words or phrases? The first thing that I automatically type at a keyboard is "Wang". I now have an obsession with the name "Gary Niger" and the word "n****r" because of my small obsession with the GNAA (look it up in wikipedia).

Yes.

Usually what the 1st thing I'd type in a keyboard is the last thing I ate. :D

Since I'm a novelist I tend to have these phrases that I use. On the chatroom here I more into being like a submissive cat/tiger. Or a hot head.

I currently have an obsession with the phrase "out cold".
And I use the word "quite" quite often.

I don't usually obsess over words, but every now and then I'll get one stuck in my head (just like a song you can't stop singing to yourself) and will repeat the word over and over until it doesn't even seem like a real word any more. It doesn't bother my typing at all.

If I am at a loss for what to say to someone, because there seems no constructive response, or because I think there is nothing I can say that is relevant, but I feel obliged to reply to the person because they are looking at me as if they want a reply, I end up saying 'cool' or 'wicked' or 'ok' (usually 'cool') and most people seem content with that. I also say it on the phone, when I use the phone. Which is about once a week :D

Mm I go through phases of saying something quite often, but I think everyone does?

I usually become obssessed more with the etymologies of words / phrases, but usually with a medical condition or a piece of music :P

Once a word's become stuck in my head, I have a habit of singing songs and inserting the word into them, or making up new lyrics to the tune built around the stuck word.
